Home Education

What we offer

At The Wildlings Project, we offer a full day of Forest School for home educated/flexi-schooled children aged 7-11. There may also be an opportunity for your child to attend if they are slightly older so please contact us for more details.

Our sessions are run by experienced qualified teachers and Forest School leaders in small learning groups.

Our young people have the opportunity to engage in a play-centric, self-directed environment where they can choose to follow the Wild Passport (five separate competencies to take learners from the very foundations of woodland skills right through to an advanced level) and/or The Therapy Adventure: Outdoor Wellbeing Award (starting September). You can follow your child’s Forest School journey through our monthly photo observations/comments and daily group observations which are shared via our parent app. All of our young people will also have their own photographic journal which they can take with them when they leave to show their Forest School journey.

At The Wildlings Project we offer the opportunity for your child to:

-Settle in at their own pace

-Connect with other children and be part of a community

-Participate in a range of self-directed hands-on projects

-Enjoy the wonderful delights of the forest

-Read a book in our chill-out area

-Work with a range of tools to create exciting projects

-Learn through play

-Relax in our hammocks

-Learn to light a fire and cook on it

-Learn how to garden and grow vegetables

-Play on our mud kitchens or in our water, music and tool areas

-Work towards their Wild Passport and/or Outdoor Wellbeing Award
